How I Built a Personal Website That Feels Like Me

Most personal websites either look like LinkedIn clones or chaotic idea boards. I wanted mine to feel like a digital living room — where someone could get a feel for who I am, what I think about, and what I’ve built.

Here’s what worked:

Start with a vibe, not a wireframe
I picked colors that felt like me — warm cream, deep cobalt, and icy teal. Not trendy — intentional.

Build in Elementor Pro — but use restraint
Less animation. More clarity. Spacing and font rhythm > fancy tricks.

Write like a person, not a pitch deck
Your homepage should say: “Hey, here’s what I’m about.” Not “Let me impress you with jargon.”

Let people explore
I added a blog section, a tools page, and a soft email CTA. Nothing pushy.

Bottom line? Make your site feel like your voice — not someone else’s funnel. That’s how you turn a visitor into a follower.
